Das ist schon tausend Weblichtjahre alt. Aber ich muss es hier zwischenreinposten, ums nicht wieder paar Jahre zu vergessen.

Trash Humpers is a 2009 American drama film directed by Harmony Korine. Using a visual style that mimics a worn VHS home video, the film features a “loser-gang cult-freak collective” and their whereabouts in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite its fictional character, the film won the main prize at one of Europe’s largest and most adventuresome documentary film festivals, CPH:DOX – Copenhagen International Documentary Festival – in November 2009.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE is an unconventional – and medically accurate — biological horror film that enthusiastically explores territory that few filmmakers dare to tread. Werckmeister Harmonies (Hungarian: Werckmeister harmóniák) is a 2000 Hungarian film directed by Béla Tarr, based on the novel The Melancholy of Resistance (1989), by László Krasznahorkai. Shot in black and white and composed of only thirty-nine languidly paced shots, the film describes the aimlessness and anomie of a small town on the Hungarian plain that falls under the influence of a sinister traveling circus lugging the immense body of a whale in its tow. A young man named János tries to keep order in the increasingly restless town even as he begins to lose his faith in the unnatural and disordered universe from which God Himself seems to have disappeared.

Beim Slamdance Film Festival feierte eine Dokumentation über ihn Premiere. Wurde ja auch mal Zeit. Die Wirkung des Trailer ist vielversprechend.

Lars von Trier zeigt in seinem Kurzfilm “Occupations”, wie man am besten mit solchen Leuten fertig wird. Ich vermute, das ist von ihm zur Nachahmung emfpohlen. Aber keine Sorge, ich bin ja eh fast nie im Kino…

Um dem Publikum schon vorab eine Vorstellung zu geben, was sie demnächst im Kino zu erwarten hatten, malten Einheimische auf alte Mehlsäcke Filmplakate. Malerisch war da Fantasie gefragt, denn die Künstler hatten den Film natürlich meist selbst noch nicht gesehen und kannten neben dem Titel im besten Fall nur die ungefähre Handlung.

Besser als die Originale sind sie aber allemal.

Gestern abend haben wir John Carpenter’s “The Thing” von 1982 gekuckt. Natürlich etwas spät, nach 27 Jahren… Aber er war sehr spannend, habe ich mir sagen lassen, denn ich bin natürlich eingeschlafen…

Passend dazu heute die Meldung, dass das amerikanische Militär an einem Kampfroboter arbeitet, der seine Energiereserven aus (Menschen)Fleisch speissen könnte. Da kann ja eigentlich nichts schiefgehen. Menschen gibts ja eigentlich eh zu viele, vor allem solche, die keine Amerikaner mögen. Hier die Fakten:

Since they apparently don’t own TVs or DVD players, researchers at Robotic Technology say the robots will collect organic matter, which “could” include human corpses, to use for fuel. But if you picked up anything on flesh-eating robots over the years you know they’ll ignore that tasty soybean field and make a chow line right to the nearest dead body. And, if the machines can’t find enough dead people to eat, they can always make new ones.”
